Triton Monte Carlo: Daniel Dvoress and Jason Koon win in the end

The Triton Super High Roller Series Monte Carlo trophy titles have been awarded. Daniel Dvoress won the $50,000 PLO, Jason Koon secured his tenth trophy in the $25,000 PLO Turbo.

The $50,000 PLO had 15 of the 72 entries (41/29) remaining heading into the final. The top 13 places were paid for and so the start was almost on the bubble. Danny Tang was once again the chip leader, but like the $30,000 PLO Bounty, he was denied the trophy. Once Tang gets heads-up like this, Dan wants to win the table and $956,000 at the end of the day, while Danny wants Tang to win $664,000.

He won his tenth Triton trophy for this GGPoker Ambassador Jason Koon. At the end there was up to $25,000 PLO Turbo (#13), which is as many as possible with 35 starters and 15 re-entries. The prize pool of $1,250,000 was distributed among nine places. Laszlo Bujtas was able to cash again, as was Tom-Aksel Bedell, while Eelis Pärssinen had to admit defeat to Jason Koon in the heads-up. The American enjoyed $365,000 in prize money and now has $26,217,985 in prize money for his 41st Triton Cash. In the Triton “Player of the Year” ranking, Koon is behind Danny Tang.

The Triton High Roller Series takes place at the end of the last three games at King’s, where the (Super) High Roller events of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) also begin.
