BUSTO ARSIZIO (VARESE)– UYBA strengthens the squad by focusing on the young talent of Alessia Fini, a nineteen-year-old libero who played for Mosaico Ravenna in B1 in the first half of the season.
Despite her very young age, she can already look back on four seasons in Serie A1, with Chieri having signed her in 2018 after he noticed her at a summer camp. Wearing the Piedmontese team’s jersey, Alessia made her debut in the A1 at the age of 16, won a Challenge Cup and made numerous appearances in the second B2 team.
Alessia Fini is already a member of the youth national team and has taken part in the Italian summer teams several times. The newcomer will play with the number 3 and will sit on the bench in the game against Conegliano at UYBA starting tomorrow.
The words of Alessia Fini-
“I am very happy about this opportunity and will try to lend my hand to the team. I’m happy that the club and the staff have trusted me, now I come from a B1.” However, the A1 series is nothing new for me: in the past few years, especially the last one, in which I was permanently included in the squad was accepted into the first team, I gained experience with the many strong players from Chieri. I greet all fans and promise to always do my best.
The words of the second coach Enrico Barbolini-
“I know Alessia very well because I trained her in Ravenna until a few days ago: she is a very young athlete, but from a sporting point of view she already has the maturity of an older player.” She is a girl who enjoys playing volleyball and training hard in the gym to improve: I believe that Busto Arsizio is the perfect choice for her to raise her level of play even further.”
